Helen Porter

Founder of Natural Effects and Pink Ink Tattoos, Helen has joined forces with cosmetic surgeon John Davison to bring you Evolution Skin Studios, Helen entered the beauty industry 16 years ago and has excelled in the practical application of the treatments provided. In 2003 she was invited to teach at Canterbury College where she stayed for 2 years before moving into the UKs largest medical and cosmetic tattoo training school to become a master trainer in the art of semi-permanent make up and medical tattooing. Working alongside dermatologists and surgeons Helen has pushed the boundaries for scar camouflage and has already been to America and various venues throughout the UK to lecture on this subject.

Due to working with fine detail in the application of permanent make-up Helen has gravitated towards black line work, so Polynesian, Maori and tribal is a large part of Helen's portfolio but she can turn her hand to most styles and enjoys the variety. Having an artistic background has allowed Helen to produce a unique style when it comes to her traditional tattoo work. She offers a service of custom drawn designs as well as a selection of flash and has recently moved into the field of cover ups. Due to her training in tattoo removal she is able to offer a wider choice for people once limited for options with covering tattoos they now dislike.
